BI Developer

Seniority and Reporting Structure This role is an intermediate BI Developer and will report into the Big Data and BI Manager. It will also report into the Data Analyst and has the opportunity to grow into a PowerBi Reporting Analyst role. Work Break Down Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible for the following job functions: SQL Queries and Development (50%) Develop SQL Queries as architected by the Big Data and BI Manager. Automate SQL Queries using SSIS and ETL processes. Maintain data structures, tables, indexing in line with MS SQL Warehouse best practices. Build data integrations into Planet Fitnesss Data Science partners data layers Reports Development (25%) Gather SSR Reporting needs from the Big Data and BI Manager and Reporting Analyst. Build SSRS reports based on needs gathered. Convert all traditional SQL Queries that produce Excel outputs into SSRS Reports. Ensure POPIA compliance when producing SSRS reports. Power BI Dashboards (15%) Develop PowerBI Dashboards that of a medium complexity as speced by the Reporting Analyst. Develop knowledge and experience on the PowerBI platform. Convert Flat file integrations into MetaData structures and architectures in PowerBI. Data Science and Project Management (10%) Plan, scope and execute small to medium projects in line with the Big Data and BI Managers transformation agenda. Partner cross functionally to deliver successful projects. Research and develop Data Science best practices. Research and propose scenario, statistical and best practice forecasting models.
