Experienced AutoCAD Technician - Fabrications Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 Location: Sheffield Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Thu 08:00-16:30, Fri 08:00-15:30) Benefits: Private medical insurance, bonus scheme Overview: Metalis are currently recruiting for an established engineering firm in Sheffield who are looking to hire an experienced AutoCAD Technician. This role will suit someone with several years' experience in technical design, ideally in building support or fabrication environments. Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Thu 08:00-16:30, Fri 08:00-15:30) Key Responsibilities: Working on fabrication design projects, creating detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings, some basic 3D Support junior team members and provide informal mentorship when needed Produce technical drawings for bespoke metal fabrications Collaborate with sales, engineers, architects, and site teams Ensure all design documents are filed correctly and adhere to company proceduresRequirements: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and basic 3D Experience producing fabrication or structural support drawings Excellent communication skills and ability to manage expectations and deadlinesIf you feel this role could be a great fit for you, please apply with your CV.
