Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Freelance or permanent We are currently representing a £400m turnover multi-disciplinary main contractor providing a range of stand-alone or fully integrated services in Building, Civil Engineering, Demolition, Land Remediation / Restoration, Facilities Management, Sports & Leisure, and Rail. They focus on a can-do attitude to provide the highest standards of safety, environmental protection / enhancement and quality project delivery. They are keen recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor (either on a freelance or permanent basis) to be site based on a £8m cut and carve commercial refurbishment scheme in Central London. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be commercial lead on the scheme and will have all day to day commercial responsibility. This will include Overseeing and managing the subcontract procurement for all project packages * Management of subcontract accounts. * Negotiation of subcontract terms and conditions * Minimising risks and enhancing cost through maximising commercial information. * Monthly valuations * Profit planning. * Identification and valuation of variations * Detailed monthly cost / value reporting * Management of all commercial staff working on allocated projects. * We are under strict instructions to provide Senior Quantity Surveyors that meet the following criteria; * Strong main contracting background. * At least 10 years experience in a Quantity Surveyors role. * Successful record of employment * Minimum of HNC in a construction related course. * Ideally some experience of working on refurbishment projects.
