Estimator – Structural Steel & Fabrication Location: Office-based (Full-Time) Industry: Structural & Architectural Steelwork Salary: Competitive, depending on experience I’m working with a leading steelwork contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, office-based position, suited to someone with a solid background in structural steel and steel fabrication estimating. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural and architectural steel projects * Review tender documentation, technical drawings, and specifications * Conduct material take-offs and quantify labour and equipment requirements * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather up-to-date pricing * Prepare tender submissions and ensure timely delivery of estimates * Identify value engineering opportunities and assess project risks * Work closely with the contracts, design, and commercial teams * Attend meetings as needed to clarify scope and support project handovers Requirements: * Proven experience as an Estimator within the steelwork industry * Strong background in structural and architectural steel, including fabrication * Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings * High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Good communication and organisational skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software packages This is a great opportunity to join an established and reputable company offering long-term prospects and a professional working environment.
