Quantity Surveyor – Structural Steelwork Division Location: North-West London (Office-based with monthly site visits) Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per year Start Date: ASAP About the Role Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to lead on exciting structural steel projects? Our client is looking for someone to join a fast-growing business where your commercial expertise will be valued and your career supported. You’ll focus on maximising payments and managing costs within the Structural Steelwork division, working closely with a dedicated commercial team and reporting to the COO. This is a key role with opportunities to influence and grow alongside the business. Key Responsibilities * Manage payment applications and valuations to ensure timely, maximised cashflow. * Negotiate final accounts and contract variations confidently. * Review and manage contracts with clients and the supply chain. * Deliver accurate monthly reports and improve cashflow forecasting. * Support tender reviews and commercial documentation. * Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. What We’re Looking For * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar qualification. * Minimum 5 years UK construction experience, with at least 5 years in quantity surveying or commercial roles. * At least 1 year managing hard fabric or structural trades. * Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction law. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and eagerness to adopt new software/tools. * Proven ability to manage clients and work well under pressure. * Right to live and work in the UK. * Based at the North-West London office with monthly site visits (travel expenses reimbursed). * Competitive salary £55,000 - £60,000 plus benefits package.
