Head of Business Intelligence

Position: Head of Business IntelligenceLocation: Montreal (Hybrid)Salary: 125 000 $ to 150 000 $We are seeking a Head of Business Intelligence to lead and evolve our data strategy, drive actionable insights, and build scalable analytics capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to be the first BI leader in a growing company, working at both strategic and tactical levels to empower data-driven decision-making across all teams.Key Responsibilities:- Define and execute the company's BI and analytics strategy.- Develop key metrics aligned with business goals and champion a data-driven culture.- Build and maintain dashboards and reports across teams (product, marketing, operations, finance).- Analyze user behavior, conversion funnels, retention, LTV, churn, and more to deliver actionable insights.- Own the BI infrastructure including data warehouse, ETL tools, and visualization platforms.- Collaborate with engineering to ensure reliable data pipelines and implement data governance best practices.- Partner closely with leadership to support strategic planning and empower teams with self-service data tools.- Define and execute the company's BI and analytics strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.- Partner closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into measurable KPIs.- Stay informed about business processes and evolving operational needs to proactively identify opportunities for improved analytics and reporting.Qualifications:- 5 years of experience in data, BI, or analytics, including 2 years in a leadership role.- Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Metabase).- Experience working with modern data stacks (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery, Airflow).- Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly communicate complex data insights.- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment and managing end-to-end projects.Other requirements: English- Level: Advanced- Reasons for Language Requirement: Communication with Clients, Internal Team Collaboration, To Support Operations in another region, Rapport with Partners or Stakeholders from different cultures- Frequency of Use: Daily (for various tasks)Bonus Points:- Experience in B2C or SaaS startups.- Knowledge of Python, R, or advanced statistical modeling.- Experience with product analytics tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel.- Background in building or growing small BI/analytics teams.Why Join?- Opportunity to build and lead the BI function from the ground up.- Collaborate directly with leadership on impactful initiatives.- Play a key role in driving data culture and business growth.To apply, please send your resume to Gabriela Pineda at gabriela.pineda@quantum-qtr.com.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN $1,000!
