Manager, IT Audit

Position: Manager, IT Audit Location: TorontoJob Type: 18-month contractThe Manager, IT Audit will lead and support independent risk-based audits and advisory initiatives across the organization. This role focuses on evaluating internal controls, risk management practices, and governance frameworks to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives and regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities:- Execute and support end-to-end delivery of audits and advisory reviews, including planning, risk assessment, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting in alignment with the approved audit plan.- Conduct and support IT and data-focused audits, including areas such as infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud environments, data governance, and emerging technology risks.- Identify technology-related risks, assess the design and effectiveness of controls, and evaluate alignment with corporate objectives, internal policies, and external regulations.- Apply data analytics techniques to examine large datasets, derive insights, and support evidence-based decision-making.- Ensure audits are completed with objectivity, professionalism, and in accordance with internal methodology and industry standards, maintaining thorough documentation.- Evaluate control environments, identify deficiencies or improvement opportunities, and provide practical, risk-based recommendations.- Draft clear, actionable audit observations and reports, and monitor the implementation of agreed-upon remediation plans.- Contribute to process enhancements within the audit function by leveraging tools, automation, and data-driven techniques to improve audit delivery and insights.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Law, or Accounting.- Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFA is strongly preferred.- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk advisory, or assurance functions, preferably within financial services or investment sectors.- Deep understanding of IT audit, cybersecurity, data governance, and technology risk management, with experience evaluating complex systems and digital platforms.- Familiarity with data analytics techniques and tools (e.g., continuous auditing, big data analysis) is highly desirable.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across a variety of stakeholders.- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.Please send your resume in Word format to Bronwyn Massey at bronwyn.massey@quantum-qtr.com.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN $1,000!
