Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Assistant Controller (Finance) to support and oversee all financial planning and analysis, cost control, and reporting activities. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in managing the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining cost accounting systems, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and a proactive mindset to partner with operations and other departments. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual budget , monthly forecast , and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals. Supervise cost control activities , including standard costing, variance analysis, and performance monitoring. Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to management to support decision-making. Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management reports , including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis. Monitor operational KPIs and partner with department managers to drive efficiency and improve cost structures. Ensure compliance with internal controls , accounting policies, and financial reporting standards (IFRS/US GAAP as applicable). Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries. Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and process improvements . Assist with audits (internal/external) and regulatory reporting requirements. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior finance staff and contribute to building a high-performing finance team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controlling roles. Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting , and cost accounting principles . Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills; ERP experience preferred (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Ability to analyze large datasets and translate data into business insights. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Preferred Competencies Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments . Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency.
