NOC Transport Technician/Engineer

Job Description

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled NOC Transport Technician/Engineer to lead critical troubleshooting efforts, drive network performance optimization, and support engineering and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in telecom technologies and a strong track record of resolving complex network issues. You will work cross-functionally to maintain and improve network health while serving as a subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Expert-Level Troubleshooting Lead the resolution of critical and complex network outages and impairments. Develop and implement advanced troubleshooting methodologies for recurring issues. Conduct forensic analysis of network events to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence. Strategic Planning and Implementation Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement improvements to the network. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools for potential integration. Oversee deployment, testing, and validation of new equipment and systems. Leadership and Consultation Serve as a technical leader and advisor for Tier I and Tier II support teams. Provide expert consultation to customers, field teams, and senior leadership. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical guides and incident reports. Network Health and Performance Lead initiatives to optimize network performance and reliability. Design and implement proactive strategies to minimize service interruptions. Analyze network performance data and provide actionable recommendations for enhancement. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or equivalent professional experience. Significant experience in telecommunications or network operations environments. In-depth knowledge of Layer 1 technologies and network management systems. Proven leadership in high-pressure, technically complex situations. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
