Manual Machinist

We are looking for a Manual Machinist to work for a large engineering company based near Oldham. If you have experience of working on a vertical borer, and use of conventional lathes please get in touch. Salary and Benefits: Salary is c£33,400 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company bonus, healthcare, overtime etc. Duties for the Manual Machinist: * Operate a variety of manual machine tools to produce precision-engineered components * Interpret technical engineering drawings and manufacture parts to tight tolerances * Conduct self-inspection of machined components using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments * Apply safe machine shop practices and follow standard operating procedures * Collaborate with other departments to resolve machining and production issues What are client is looking for: * Time-served manual machinist/technician with a recognised NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical/manufacturing engineering * Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative in a fast-paced setting * Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work * Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused attitude * Knowledge of health and safety standards within a machine shop If you could be intersted in the Manual Machinist role please call Rebecca at Simply Recruitment or press APPLY NOW
