Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team on specialist ductwork and ventilation projects across London. The successful candidate will oversee all cost-related aspects of mechanical (HVAC) works from tender through to final account, ensuring value delivery, commercial control, and compliance with project objectives. The salary is negotiable dependant on experience and qualifications Key Responsibilities: * Prepare, manage, and review cost estimates and tender submissions for ductwork packages. * Conduct material take-offs and ensure accurate measurement of ductwork components. * Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts. * Monitor project variations, valuations, and interim payments. * Maintain tight control over cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and budget compliance. * Conduct site visits to assess progress and validate claims. * Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of commercial outputs. * Manage final accounts and ensure project closeout aligns with contractual and financial targets. * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within MEP/HVAC, ideally with a focus on ductwork or ventilation. * Strong knowledge of building services installation processes. * Familiarity with construction contracts (JCT/NEC preferred). * Excellent numerical, negotiation, and communication skills. * Proficient in MS Excel, project costing tools, and industry measurement standards (e.g., SMM/CESMM). * Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying
