Job Description

Mechanical Project Engineer - West Yorkshire -0 Water Sector Join our clients team as a Mechanical Project Engineer, where you'll lead mechanical engineering activities across all project stages—ensuring technical excellence and commercial success on water and wastewater treatment projects. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate mechanical services pre- and post-contract to meet project goals. * Vet procurement packages and manage off-site manufacturing and modular installations. * Oversee technical drawings and ensure coordination across disciplines. * Support site teams and Quantity Surveyors with installation and commercial matters. * Conduct factory inspections, audits, and ensure top-tier installation quality. * Lead project and subcontractor reviews to monitor progress and performance. * Drive a positive team culture and maintain compliance with HSE standards. What We’re Looking For * Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). * 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in water/wastewater. * CSCS card, SMSTS (or SSSTS minimum), and First Aid at Work. * Strong understanding of mechanical systems, MMC, and Lean Construction. * Organised, commercially aware, and technically competent. * Excellent communication and IT skills.
