Underwriter

This role is part of a team responsible for the timely and accurate administration of finance loan products. Please note, this is shift work, also working weekends. Client Details Our client is a well established business in Sevenoaks seeking 5 underwriters to join their busy team! Description · Underwrite referred deals to policy and mandate · Make confident decisions in line with business rules and processes · Manage queries via different workflows · Verification of the completeness and accuracy of credit proposals · To complete all ad hoc admin tasks as distributed by the Senior / Team Leader / Head of Department · Contribute towards the team by working together to achieve the SLA requirements · Build sustainable relationships with all other internal departments and field staff · React to any procedure changes positively and proactively · To present the company in a professional and confidential manner at all times · To pay due care and attention to your own, and others' health & safety at all times Profile A successful Underwriter should have: Previous underwriting experience Working within a consumer finance backgorund is preferable. Good educational background with proficiency demonstrable in Math's and English Computer literate, including MS office products and email Experience of working in a team in an office environment - preferably in a consumer finance environment Knowledge of TCF and Consumer Duty Ability to understand and comply with documented processes and procedures Job Offer Competitive salary based on experience Weekend work required.
