What you'll be doing: Working closely with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and operations team, you'll: Provide manufacturing input into the New Product Introduction (NPI) process Troubleshoot and evaluate existing manufacturing processes Lead Practical Problem Solving (PPS) activities to identify root causes and deliver sustainable solutions Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste Support and promote a right-first-time quality culture Facilitate engineering change requests, working as a bridge between production and design Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation including SOPs and job instructions What we're looking for: HNC in Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment A solid understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies Skilled in using data to inform decision-making Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Excellent communication skills – able to work cross-functionally at all levels Organised, methodical, and proactive in identifying and delivering improvements The ideal person: A motivated self-starter who thrives on continuous improvement Enthusiastic about change and building better processes Collaborative, empathetic, and able to build strong working relationships Enjoys problem-solving and making a visible impact in operations Anne Corder Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and as an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
