Senior Project Manager – Industrial Construction Nationwide Travel | £85,000 – £110,000 Package Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in industrial construction? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment and enjoy seeing high-spec projects through from pre-construction to completion? We are working with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 main contractors to appoint a Senior Project Manager to deliver large-scale industrial developments across the country – including warehouses, factories, and data centres. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team on complex, high-value schemes with national exposure. Key Responsibilities: Report directly to the Project Director on all matters relating to project performance and delivery. Lead the design management of MEP works and support technical evaluations during tenders. Manage the procurement process for subcontractors, including technical alignment, negotiation, and contract execution. Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance. Ensure delivery aligns with the agreed scope, budget, and programme timelines. Develop value engineering solutions and support cost-effective project strategies. Implement and manage project controls, risk registers, and reporting processes. Act as the primary interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and expectation management. Maintain strong on-site presence, monitoring contractor performance and safety compliance. Drive successful handovers to operations teams, ensuring all defects and snags are closed out efficiently. Ideal Candidate: Proven experience delivering complex industrial construction projects (e.g. logistics centres, manufacturing facilities, or data centres). Strong MEP knowledge and a background in managing design, procurement, and delivery processes. Comfortable with national travel and staying away as needed to support project delivery. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial project management. Able to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment.
