Tooling Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Tooling & Dimensional Engineer on behalf of a leading global manufacturer based in the north Leeds area. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and talented technical engineering team, in a highly regulated fast paced manufacturing business that is continuing to grow. As the Tooling & Dimensional Engineer you will: Develop a manufacturing process for large IGT/aerospace components to maintain dimensional stability Negotiate with OEMs to support dimensional validations and tolerance agreements Ensure continuous improvement of processes and tooling Control tool modifications (cost / timing and technical control) Preparation of component CAD models and runner system design for bespoke pattern die tooling Gauge and fixture specification/design Create tooling specification and liaison with suppliers Define internal control limits to reduce scrap and increase productivity Control NPI feed-back to the customer through technical meetings Create FAI reports through optical measurement technology To be considered for the Tooling & Dimensional Engineer you will need: Engineering Degree – Preferably in Mechanical Engineering Good knowledge of 3D CAD Package – Preferably in Siemens NX Analytical thinking Good verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the business Ability to work on and resolve complex problems Attention to detail Good understanding of GD&T Able to Read and Understand complex 2D drawings Proficient in use of MS Office i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word For more information, please contact Katy Emmott or apply now.
