Electrical Design Engineer

Green Data Talent is partnered up with a leader in power generation and renewable energy, who are currently in the market for an Electrical Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of high voltage electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance across a variety of projects. Responsibilities Design and development of HV electrical systems and HV equipment (from concept to detailed design). Preparation of single-line diagrams (SLDs), protection schematics, layouts, and cable calculations. Ensure designs comply with IEC, BS, and relevant national standards. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to review and optimize designs. Participate in factory acceptance testing. Support project engineers and site teams during installation and commissioning phases Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and client submissions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s is advantageous). Proven design experience in high voltage or power system design (11kV–132kV). Proficiency in the use of E-Plan or similar design software, for the creation of electrical circuit diagrams. Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for the creation of 2D drawings. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills. Due to the nature of projects, possession of or being capable of obtaining SC level security clearance is non-negotiable.
