Patent Administrator London, UK Competitive salary, up to £45,000 depending on experience We are working with one of the world’s leading European Patent and Trademark firms, known for its high-calibre client base, collaborative culture and forward-thinking approach. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Patent Administrator to join a dynamic and respected team in the London office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting fee earners and clients across a wide variety of patent matters. Key Responsibilities Preparing and processing standard and ad hoc correspondence related to patent matters Drafting and amending letters, emails and specifications as instructed Managing deadlines, formalities and filings for UK, EP and international patent applications Using Inprotech and other systems to maintain accurate electronic records Actioning incoming communications including updates from the EPO mailbox Supporting validation of granted patents and handling related documentation Monitoring, updating and clearing due dates and key deadlines Preparing and submitting invoices, credit notes and WIP adjustments Updating client databases and assisting with client reporting requirements Providing administrative support such as arranging meetings and managing diaries for fee earners Liaising with clients and overseas attorneys when required Skills and Experience Required At least 3 to 4 years’ experience working in a patent administration or formalities role CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration (essential) Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail Proficient with Inprotech or other IP records systems Able to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and professional manner IT literate with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths as a minimum; A-levels or higher education desirable What’s on Offer A competitive salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience A supportive and friendly team culture within a prestigious international firm Hybrid working arrangement offering flexibility and work-life balance Ongoing training and development opportunities Comprehensive benefits package If you are an experienced Patent Administrator seeking your next move within a leading European IP firm, we would be pleased to hear from you.
