Manufacturing Operative Location: Huntington, York (YO32) Pay Rate: £15.26 £16.92 per hour (potential to rise to £20.65 depending on skills) Job Type: Temporary ongoing (work expected until Christmas 2025 and beyond) About the Role: We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives for a long-term opportunity with a leading manufacturer of modular buildings in York. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out general manufacturing and assembly tasks Using hand and power tools to produce high-quality components Following build plans, work instructions, and quality standards Working safely at all times and maintaining a clean work area Collaborating with team members to meet production targets Shift Patterns: Rotating weekly shifts: Week 1: Monday to Thursday 5:45am 2:00pm; Friday 5:45am 12:45pm Week 2: Monday to Thursday 1:45pm 11:45pm (no shift on Friday!) Pay & Benefits: Starting pay at £15.26 per hour, increasing to £16.92 after 12 weeks Further increases possible (up to £20.65/hr) based on performance and role Overtime available at time-and-a-half and double time 28 days holiday increasing to 32 days after 12 weeks Access to free parking and excellent on-site facilities Who We're Looking For: Experience in a hands-on manufacturing, production, or assembly role is desirable Alternatively, practical skills from carpentry, plumbing, or DIY backgrounds Confidence using tools and reading from instructions or drawings Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team Apply Now: Immediate starts are available now and throughout summer 2025.
