Building Acoustics Consultant Location: Remote Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE An established and forward-thinking consultancy is looking to appoint an Acoustic Consultant with a strong background in building acoustics. The Opportunity You’ll be joining a dynamic team of acousticians working on a wide range of projects across the commercial, residential, education, cultural and mixed-use sectors. The Role This role will involve: Providing technical advice on building acoustics from planning through to completion Conducting environmental and building acoustic assessments Preparing detailed reports and design documentation Undertaking on-site testing and acoustic modelling using tools such as CadnaA or ODEON Working closely with architects, engineers, and developers on innovative project deliveryThe Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who has: At least 2 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy (strong graduates will also be considered) A degree in acoustics or a related field Knowledge of key standards and guidelines (BB93, BS8233, BS4142 etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills A proactive and collaborative attitudeProgress toward or attainment of Chartered status is a bonus, though not essential.
