Senior Acoustic Consultant Location: London-based (Hybrid: home, office, and site-based work) Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent A highly respected and long-established acoustic consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their expanding London-based team. With a heritage dating back to the early 1980s, this firm has played a leading role in shaping some of the UK’s most notable architectural and performance spaces. Their work spans theatres, music schools, clubs and venues, residential developments, offices, hospitality spaces, and more. Known for their technical excellence and collaborative ethos, this boutique consultancy combines deep sector knowledge with a hands-on, creative approach to problem-solving. Their projects often support RIBA-stage driven design, and they are regularly involved with award-winning architects and design teams. The Opportunity This role offers a varied and stimulating workload across building and environmental acoustics. The successful candidate will manage diverse projects, provide client-facing consultancy, and conduct a range of acoustic, noise, and vibration testing services. Duties include: Leading and delivering small to large-scale projects independently or as part of a team Preparing fee proposals and attending client/design/team meetings Conducting site visits for measurements and equipment deployment Performing acoustic calculations and analysis (e.g. sound insulation, façade, Sabine) Producing detailed design specifications and technical reports Using modelling tools (ODEON, CadnaA, Insul) Applying knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. BB93, BS4142, BS8233, BS5228)This is a hybrid role involving home working, office-based tasks (London office), and site visits. Occasional overnight stays may be required; all travel-related costs are covered.
