Job Description
You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective and efficient Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Data Policies and Procedures automation Data Security processes and controls automation Responsibilities : Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for: Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across various data stack layers and lifecycle phases. Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies, procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse. Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls, validation, metrics, and alerts. Coordinating with Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies. Building and deploying Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in product development. Skills Educational background in Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, BI & Data Analytics, or Big Data. Experience with: Advanced Python (libraries, packages) and database applications. SQL and relational database query development. Data security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA). Root cause analysis and process automation. Working with structured and unstructured datasets. Technical skills include management of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), programming in SQL and Python, ETL tools like Airflow, data transformation tools such as dbt, and data governance platforms like Collibra or Informatica. Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred), Git repositories, and documentation platforms is also required. Soft skills required include excellent communication, project management (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, strategic thinking, results orientation, data literacy, and innovation skills. Day-to-day activities involve governing the HBX Data Platform Stack, designing automated policies and controls, ensuring data security and compliance, and managing data lifecycle activities.
