Operations Advisor - Gas & Power

For a prestigious multinational company, leader in the oil and energy sector, we are looking for an Operations Advisor based in Italy . The Operations Advisor is responsible for the flawless delivery of natural gas and power to customers in Italy, including: Transport logistics Interface between Italian Sales / Supply office / owners of other relevant contracts in the Italian portfolio In this role, you will: Work within a highly professional sub-team responsible for customer demand allocations and forecasting Contribute to minimizing portfolio imbalances and imbalance costs, a key KPI Ensure efficient consumption and allocations management based on data flow Maintain top quartile performance in managing imbalance costs to enhance company competitiveness Liaise with grid operators, customers, sales, and other business functions Develop learning culture within Operations and maintain open partnerships with commercial teams Be accountable for HSSE, Compliance, and Regulatory obligations You will be responsible for: Allocation processing: Analysis of definitive allocations Management of allocation rules at city-gates and points of delivery Portal management Back-testing and monitoring actual data in forecasting tools Capacity management: Registering booked capacities Planning and booking transport capacities through TSOs procedures Nominations process: Receiving and processing nominations from partners Preparing nominations for TSO, DSO, and suppliers Executing nominations regularly Managing gas exchange transactions based on supply deals Contract management: Cooperation with commercial and financial departments Processing contracts and bank guarantees Data management and reporting: Maintaining databases and calculations Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders Non-Core Gas Operations Activities: Regulatory monitoring Supporting forecasting system and tools Setting up and maintaining forecasting models Monitoring portfolio and forecasting processes Customer interaction for forecast improvement Reviewing new deal pipelines Advising sales and teams on forecasting aspects Monitoring regulatory developments Enhancing forecasting system efficiency Operational risk management and capability development Requisiti: University degree in engineering, economics, or similar Strong analytical and numerical skills Experience with business IT tools, especially Excel Quantitative modeling experience preferred Proactive, with good time management and organization Excellent communication in Italian and English At least 3 years of relevant experience Location: Sesto San Giovanni, Italia J-18808-Ljbffr
