Job Description
Financial Accountant The Financial Accountant will play a vital role in our finance department, focusing on managing daily financial tasks in collaboration with our global team. This position is critical for supporting and successfully implementing our global ERP system into local operations after the go-live and for the ongoing performance of the Finance team in Italy. The role is a 2-3 year contract with the possibility of extension. Work Type - Hybrid Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of accounts receivable and payable, including processing invoices, receipts, and payments to maintain optimal cash flow. Provide guidance on credit terms for new customers to the global team. Tax Compliance: Handle the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring adherence to all local tax laws and regulations. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; analyze financial data to detect trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost reduction. ERP Implementation Support: Collaborate with IT and global finance teams to integrate and optimize the new global ERP system for local operations, providing ongoing support post-implementation. Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with global departments to deliver financial insights and support, enhancing overall company efficiency and success. Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in preparing financial forecasts and budgets, providing detailed financial insights to aid strategic decision-making. Candidate Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role. Knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory standards (a plus). Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. Proficient in ERP systems, with specific experience in implementing and adapting these systems preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Self-motivated to seek continuous process improvements within the finance department. Demonstrates self-discipline and focus, capable of producing high-quality work independently in a dynamic environment. Strong collaboration skills and ability to contribute within a team setting. Comfortable with data manipulation and Excel reporting techniques to streamline tasks and reports. Fluent in English and Italian.
