Software Engineer

What are your responsibilities as Product Software Engineer? You will immediately get exposure to a variety of technologies, development teams, tools, and processes. As part of a Scrum team, you will benefit from collaboration with other members, participating in software creation, estimating development time, coding, and integration. You will report to a Product Software Engineering Manager. Our core software engineering department is based in Lucca and Salerno, where teams work closely together to develop products for industries such as banking, insurance, automotive, and food & beverage. Each team includes a QA engineer and 5-6 software engineers. We strongly believe in Agile and Scrum methodologies, emphasizing teamwork, self-organization, and proactivity, as the best solutions come from collective intelligence and collaborative decision-making. This role can be based either in Lucca or Salerno . Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to develop, maintain, enhance, and extend product features. Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues, working with Customer Support, other development teams, and Product Management. Identify patterns of issues and root causes, advocating for investigation and holistic fixes. Examine operational activities and technical debt scenarios, proposing new ideas or automation. Promote approaches that improve quality and productivity. You have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least 4 years of software development experience, including knowledge of object-oriented languages such as Java (with Spring Framework) or C#. Basic knowledge of testing practices, automation, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code principles. Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English. It is better if you also have knowledge of: Relational and NoSQL databases. API design and REST principles. SDLC tools like Jira, GIT, IntelliJ, Maven, npm, and CI/CD practices.
