The Opportunity As the Country Sales Director for Italy, you will lead and drive the growth of Nutanix’s Enterprise, Commercial Business and Public Sector business within the region. This strategic leadership role requires a strong blend of sales expertise, team management, and deep technical understanding of infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for orchestrating cross-functional teams, developing and executing a comprehensive business plan, and building lasting relationships with C-level executives across key industries such as financial services, manufacturing, and energy. With a focus on high-level negotiation and value-based selling, you will steer the sales organization to accelerate performance, identify new opportunities, and ensure sustainable market expansion. This role demands a hands-on leader who is fluent in Italian, comfortable with significant travel, and passionate about coaching and developing a high-performing team to achieve ambitious business goals. Your Role Lead and develop the sales team in Italy, focusing on strategic account development and high-level coaching to drive performance and growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives across key enterprise and commercial customers, leveraging your network to expand business opportunities Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan within the first 90 days, including a detailed analysis of team strengths and weaknesses and alignment with marketing, channel, and services teams Manage and grow the Enterprise and Commercial business in Italy, ensuring effective execution and delivery of sales targets with a strong focus on infrastructure technology solutions Support the Public Sector business to keep growin Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including channel partners, inside sales, Portfolio specialists, and service organizations, to orchestrate efforts and optimize customer engagement and satisfaction What we're looking for Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead, coach, and develop a sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities, with experience in steering complex sales processes and driving enterprise account development Excellent negotiation skills and a well-established C-level network within key enterprise and commercial customers, particularly in Italy Deep understanding of infrastructure technology and the ability to translate technical solutions into business value, enabling effective solution and value selling What you'll need Proven experience as a Senior Sales Director or Senior Country Manager, with a minimum of five years in a leadership role managing sales teams and driving business growth in Italy Native-level proficiency in Italian is mandatory, with strong English communication skills suitable for an international business environment Established C-level network with experience in financial services, manufacturing, and energy industries Demonstrated leadership capabilities including team coaching, strategic account development, delegation, orchestration, and collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successfully managing high-level sales processes and closing complex deals Ability to travel frequently within Italy (40-50%) to engage with clients and lead the sales organization on the ground Experience in building enterprise business from scratch, with a focus on execution, performance management, and driving urgency and passion within the team Location : Milan (preferred) or Rome.
