Project Manager

Petroplan are pleased to be recruiting a Business Development Engineer on behalf of a large scale global developer with 18 years of experience in the renewable energy sector based in Milan. The Project Manager, stationed in Milan, will report to the Country Manager for Italy Responsibilities : Identifying, evaluating, and facilitating the development of new wind, solar, BESS, and P2X projects. Conducting feasibility and risk assessments. Managing budget and resources for assigned projects. Identifying and recommending project acquisition opportunities, including involvement in potential M&A activities. Coordinating external project developers or professionals, ensuring compliance with agreements and deliverables. Facilitating project transition and support during construction. Overseeing projects from permitting, ensuring efficient management of "land, grid, and permit" aspects. Must have : At least two years of experience in renewable energy project development, particularly in wind and / or solar. Fluency in Italian and English, with strong communication skills in both. Demonstrated expertise in "greenfield" project development in Italy, including regulatory compliance, grid connection processes, and land contract negotiation / management. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects across different regions simultaneously. Willingness to travel frequently, primarily within Italy. Desirable experience / skills may include : Managing the construction of utility-scale wind or PV plants until commissioning.
