Job Description
For our client, a leading manufacturing company serving the global market, we are actively recruiting a highly motivated Chief Operating Officer - COO (Manufacturing Company). Responsibilities: Lead and manage all manufacturing and operations activities across all global plants, including those in China, South America, Italy, and Eastern Europe. Develop and execute strategic plans that deliver low-cost, high-quality products with industry-leading flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with directors of supply chain, production, plant managers, manufacturing engineering, quality, maintenance, and customer care to align operational goals. Create a compelling vision, gain team buy-in, and support execution of this vision. Ensure customer service commitments are upheld through strategic decisions and actions. Lead manufacturing strategic planning, including development and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including flexible manufacturing solutions. Contribute to the strategic management of the division as a member of the executive team. Recommend and implement manufacturing strategic changes across the organization. Manage operations of component manufacturing and final product assembly serving demanding customer bases. Oversee operations featuring configured-to-order, high product mix environments. Drive process improvements to enhance bottom-line performance. Define and expand operational capacity; establish reporting tools to monitor results and drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness. Optimize resources including inventory, facilities, budgets, assets, and talent. Qualifications: Minimum 15 years of business and operations leadership experience in manufacturing, with a focus on strategic planning, growth, and change management. Six Sigma Black Belt certification and significant experience with lean manufacturing preferred. Experience restructuring manufacturing footprints and implementing automation is highly desirable. Proven track record of transforming strategies into measurable results. Comfortable working on the plant floor and engaging with customers. Successful in leading change management initiatives and supporting cultural shifts. Bachelor's degree in Operational Leadership, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), or Business; additional training in Demand Flow, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma is preferred.
