EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent DEPARTMENT: Fund Services DIVISION: Institutional Client Services WORKPLACE STRUCTURE: Hybrid Role Overview PURPOSE OF JOB Our Luxembourg based AIFM entity is currently looking for a Conducting Officer in charge of Risk Management. Main Responsibilities And Duties Calculate and control the risks related to each AIFM under management. Review, control and implement relevant regulatory developments related to the risk management. Implement compliant processes, policies and guidelines in line with the risk management responsibilities. Manage risk matters, provide guidance and support to the client-facing staff and be solutions-oriented. Implement and periodically review the Key Risk Indicators throughout the business. Monitor and interpret events and developments in the external and internal business environment to identify potential impacts for the Business. Develop, update and maintain our internal risk procedures and control their application / implementation. Provide risk report to the Conducting Officer and the Board of Directors of the AIFM. Identify and implement remediation to the identified risk issues. Provide the Portfolio Management investment committee with the investment compliance monitoring conclusions prior to any investment and on an ongoing basis. Oversight of Valuation Process: Ensure the accurate and independent valuation of alternative investment funds (AIFs) in compliance with regulatory requirements (AIFMD, local regulations). Supervise valuation methodologies, internal policies, and third-party valuation providers. Technical Expertise in Valuation Methodologies: Demonstrate a deep understanding and strong technical knowledge of valuation methodologies applicable to non-listed assets, including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and private debt. Ensure the appropriate application of market standards (e.g., IPEV Guidelines, IFRS, local GAAP). Regulatory Compliance & Governance: Maintain and enhance the valuation governance framework, ensuring adherence to internal controls and external audit requirements. Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and internal risk committees on valuation matters. Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Collaborate with portfolio managers, risk officers, and external valuers to ensure transparency and consistency in valuation practices. Provide detailed valuation reports and analysis to senior management, investors, and regulators as required. Essential Requirements Holding at least a university degree in Finance, Economics with a minimum of 6 years proven experience in risk management. Be eligible to be appointed Conducting Officer in charge of risk management. Be exposed to the PE / RE / Debt / Infrastructure asset classes. High level of technicality, ability to take responsibility and initiatives, create solutions, display assertiveness and decisiveness, undertake crisis management, and respect deadlines. Responsible, accountable and able to get on with others as a team player. English both verbal and written, other languages will be advantageous.
