Who We Are We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Platform Architect to lead and manage our Cloud Platform team responsible for the complete cloud infrastructure of the VSDS data collection platform, primarily utilizing AWS and Azure. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the architectural integrity and operational efficiency of our cloud solutions. What You'll Be Doing Leadership and Team Management: Lead the Cloud Platform team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to team members in projects related to cloud infrastructure. Architectural Planning and Development: Oversee the architectural planning and strategic development of cloud solutions to ensure long-term stability, availability, and security of cloud services. Architectural Consulting and Implementation: Consult and assist in the creation of secure and efficient architectures within public cloud environments (AWS, MS Azure). Engage with stakeholders to clarify business needs and optimize architectural solutions that align with organizational goals. Cost Management and Optimization: Monitor cloud resource usage and implement cost-effective measures to ensure efficient use of cloud resources while optimizing performance. Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security protocols and compliance requirements across all cloud operations, minimizing risk and safeguarding data. Network Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee network infrastructure design and implementation to support robust cloud operations and ensure seamless connectivity. Innovation Management: Stay informed on the latest cloud technologies and trends, advocating for innovative solutions that enhance the capabilities and performance of the cloud platform. What You'll Bring Along Bachelor’s degree in Informatics or similar field of study or equivalent working experience is required. Minimum 10 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer. Proven experience in cloud architecture, with expertise in AWS and Azure. Strong leadership skills and experience in team management. Solid understanding of security, compliance, and networking in cloud environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost and resource optimization. Very good English & German communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
