Job Title: Technical Support Engineer - Azure Security Job Description As a Technical Support Engineer, you will serve as a frontline technical resource for customers and partners via phone, email or web. You will deliver unique value by collaboratively and reactively solving customer problems, providing proactive support advice, and contributing to product quality and enhancements. You will be part of a team responsible for providing an outstanding technical support experience to our business customers. From problem identification to full resolution, you will own and manage the customer experience over the phone and web. You will collaborate with others to engage subject matter experts, Engineering or Management when needed. This role offers an opportunity to become a subject matter expert in one or more areas, with guidance and mentorship from your colleagues. Responsibilities Own, investigate, and solve complex customer technical issues. Collaborate within and across teams and leverage troubleshooting tools and practices. Engage with Engineering and Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects. Review complex issues and contact customers to understand the issue. Ensure customers stay informed about the status and solution of their issues. Utilise troubleshooting tools to help resolve customer issues. Act as an advisor to the customer and handle complex, repeatable, or escalated cases. Create technical articles for internal or customer-facing knowledge bases. Provide best practices and education to customers. Perform complex product troubleshooting and remediation when needed. Work alongside development teams to drive incident resolution. Analyse patterns of problems and optimise support engineering delivery. Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues. Provide feedback to senior engineers or serviceability teams on product functionality. Engage with the engineering team to investigate product bugs and provide business impact. Contribute to or develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools. Translate feedback and create processes for case resolution. Participate in case triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers. Essential Skills Technical support experience or experience working with customers in the IT industry. Excellent communication skills. Strong understanding of network security principles and practices. Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals such as encryption, authentication, and authorization. Understanding of cloud computing concepts. Familiarity with the TCP/IP stack. Understanding of DNS principles and protocols. Understanding of HTTP principles and methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.). Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud service provider. Understanding of network protocols. Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments. Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory/ENTRA. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic skills in scripting languages are a plus. Fluency in English, with reading, writing, and speaking proficiency. Proficiency in other European languages such as French or German is preferable. Work Environment The work environment involves supporting products like Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, and Analytics.
