Class 2 Steel Delivery Driver Rotherham Salary: £15.50 per hour Overtime: £23.25 per hour after 8 hours worked Join the Recruit A Driver team as an experienced Class 2 Driver for a well-established client based in Rotherham. This role offers flexible ad-hoc day shifts covering holidays and sickness work when you can and help maintain high professional standards. About the Role: As a Class 2 Steel Delivery Driver, you will: Oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer sites Drive Class 2 flatbed vehicles, securing loads with chains Deliver steel locally and on long-distance routes within a 3-hour radius Complete up to 12 drops per shift, depending on distance Ensure Proofs of Delivery are signed and returned promptly Check load security and weight distribution following safe working practices at the start and end of shifts Maintain vehicles to company standards, reporting any defects Conduct daily vehicle safety checks before use and operate vehicles safely Key Details: Working hours: Start at 06:00 (start and finish times may vary) with overtime as needed Shift pattern: Monday to Friday Requirements: Valid UK Class 2 licence held for at least 12 months Recent Class 2 driving experience within the last 6 months (ideally 12 months) No more than 6 points on your license (minor offences only) In-date Digital Tachograph Card Up-to-date CPC Qualification Card Ability to carry out manual handling and loading Completion of a 1-day classroom training and a driving assessment before starting How to Apply: This opportunity is expected to fill quickly apply today!
