About the Role We are seeking an Engineering Manager for IAM to lead the development of high-performing Go and Python services, focusing on secure identity and access management solutions used across our products. Your team will influence how users, clients, and community members access open source applications like Ubuntu One SSO, Juju, LXD, and MAAS. Responsibilities Build and lead a high-performance software engineering team Design and implement complex distributed systems Work with product management to define technical vision Review code, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality software delivery Participate in all phases of software development: design, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting Collaborate with open source communities and internal teams Qualifications Proven leadership in software engineering teams Experience with Go and Python development Strong background in distributed systems, container tech, and Kubernetes Knowledge of security, performance, and large-scale system operation Optional: Knowledge of IAM technologies and standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Academic excellence and relevant technical degree or equivalent experience Location This role is remote, based in the EMEA or AMER regions.
