Site Controller

The Senior Site Controller plays a pivotal role in the financial operations of our Client’s facility, overseeing accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis to drive business performance and ensure sound financial management. This role requires a skilled finance professional who is adept at managing day-to-day accounting activities while also providing strategic insight to improve the site's financial efficiency. Primary Responsibilities: Financial Management and Reporting Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support site operations and senior management. Track and interpret key financial metrics to aid in strategic decision-making. Accounting and Compliance Oversee all accounting functions, including reconciliations, inventory management, fixed assets, and cash flow. Ensure compliance with all internal controls, accounting policies, and financial regulations, including GAAP. Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary information and addressing audit findings. Budgeting and Cost Control Collaborate with department heads to create and manage site budgets, focusing on cost control and variance analysis. Analyze and monitor cost structures, identifying areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency. Partner with site leadership to evaluate cost-saving opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and improve profitability. Leadership and Team Development Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals to ensure efficient performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting training and development within the team. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support business goals and financial objectives. Operational Support Act as a financial advisor to site management, providing insights into financial implications for operational decisions. Engage in capital expenditure planning and assist with ROI evaluations for site projects and initiatives. Work closely with operations to implement financial strategies that align with business goals. System and Process Optimization Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improving accuracy and efficiency. Support ERP and other financial system enhancements to better support site reporting and analysis. Implement best practices and drive standardization across site financial operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred). Minimum of 10-15 years of finance experience, with 3 years in a controller position. Comprehensive knowledge of financial principles, GAAP, and regulatory standards. Proficiency in ERP and strong Excel skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments with strong interpersonal skills.
