The QualiFind Group supports multinational manufacturing organizations with their need for key specialist to management talent to successfully complete industrial greenfield, site launches, turnaround or expansions in North America. We actively engage, screen and assess talent for specific search mandates that possess the cultural attributes, technical competencies and experience to deliver value for our clients. OUR CLIENT Our client is in the process of building out a new manufacturing facility in Ciudad Juarez and we have been retained to secure key leadership and functional management to support their greenfield project. Due to the sensitive nature of this search, the initial phase will be managed on a confidential basis. Candidates who are found to meet the criteria for this role will be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before being provided with a detailed candidate brief, which will include the identity of our client and other sensitive information relevant to the role. POSITION SUMMARY You will be responsible for leading a value stream organization (VSO) comprised of representatives from all departments in the Ciudad Juarez, Mexico manufacturing facility. You will define and drive value stream strategies and ensure that teams deliver policy deployment results. A strong technical background and understanding of concepts such as lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality disciplines are required to effectively manage ongoing operations throughout the facility. You are expected to manage all operations (people, information and materials), teach & coach others in the VSO, and continuously improve processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensuring the production team meets safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives while maintaining high morale in the production area Proactively identifying & driving daily continuous improvement opportunities Leading complex tasks and functions and delivering department policy deployment results Cascading plant policy deployment objectives/projects to supervisors and team leaders Utilizing daily reporting/tracking results to detect, escalate, and root cause abnormalities in the flow (people, materials, and information) Responsibility to ensure their fiscal adherence to budgets and approve expenditures ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets Liaising with cross-functional departments/organizations and driving project teams Providing transparent communication with all shift supervisors and management Recruiting, motivating, developing, and retaining great people Administering all aspects of performance management for their team and provide ongoing coaching and feedback EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED Bachelor´s Degrre in Engineering or similar field preferred Minimum of ten (10) years of manufacturing operations management experience; with at least 7 years within a leadership capacity for a high-volume world class manufacturer. Proven broad domain manufacturing knowledge and leadership development experience Proven experience with lean manufacturing and/or the Toyota Production System (TPS) Successful track record of consistently meeting and exceeding key performance indicators Proven experience and responsibility in implementing and enforcing plant safety guidelines Built high-performing, empowered organizations that balance speed and quality to deliver superior customer outcomes Ability to interact effectively with all levels, and all positions, within the organization Demonstrated strategic analysis and planning skills Driven, energetic and global thinker who desires personal growth Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Fluent in English & Spanish
