Junior Mainframe Software Engineer

Role Description: This is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Engineer located in Rome/Milan. The role involves developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe software products, collaborating with a team of engineers, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mainframe systems. This role will mean becoming part of a global multi-disciplined mainframe development team (develop, test, document) and will involve learning about our mainframe products. Mandatory Skills and Qualifications: Must be an Italian Citizen Must be able and wiling to work in a hybrid capacity in our Rome Office Fluent English (B2 or C1 level) 1-3 years work experience in programming skill: C OR Java THIS ROLE IS JUNIOR LEVEL ROLE. WHILE SOME MAINFRAME EXPERIENCE MIGHT BE HELPFUL AS WELL AS DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE, THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT IS THAT YOU HAVE A DEGREE AND/OR EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE ENGINEER AND WILLING TO BE COMMITTED TO LEARNING WITHIN A MAINFRAME DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT. Advantageous skills: Systems programmer zVM, zOSMF, PL/X, SLD, Debug Tool. Knowledge of products like IBM File Manager for z/OS, IBM Fault Analyzer for z/OS, ADFz, IDz, z/OS Explorer, z/OS Open Editor or similar products. Jira, git, Jenkins, XML, JSON, VSCode, DB2/SQL, IMS/DB1, MQ, zD&T, ADCD, Zowe, Open Mainframe.
