This position reports to: Digital Product Manager You will join our Digital Offering Team within the Process Automation business area for Energy Industries - Digital Division. The division integrates automation, electrification, instrumentation, and telecom to enable customers’ business transformation in a converging IT/OT environment. The priority is to help customers embrace digitalization securely with solutions that facilitate data access, visualization, and understanding. The candidate will be part of the Digital Offering Team of the local division, interfacing mainly with ABB Sales, SCM Purchase, Engineering departments, and our customers. ABB digital solutions cover pillars such as Sustainability (with Advanced Process Control & process optimization), Cyber Security solutions and services for OT systems, Performance monitoring, Predictive diagnostics, and digital twin technology. These solutions are typically offered as extensions or complements to ABB Control systems. Key Responsibilities Preparation of technical proposals and cost calculations for digital solutions based on customer requirements, supported by Subject Matter Experts. Support SCM in analyzing supplier proposals. Gather information from sales regarding installed bases/sites from ABB Technical Account Managers. Analyze customer needs and competitor offerings using market information and sales data. Conduct lost proposal analysis, identify causes, and recommend future actions in cooperation with sales and local business units. Qualifications Strong knowledge of process control systems and automation (PLC, DCS, ESD) in power generation, water, and oil & refining industries. At least 2 years’ experience as a proposal or support sales engineer, with skills in technical specifications and pricing calculations. Familiarity with Cyber Security Standards (e.g., IEC 62443) and electrical standards is required. Passion for data analysis and digital solutions that meet customer needs while minimizing costs and maximizing revenues. Knowledge of ABB digital portfolio (Cyber Security, Asset Performance Management, Sustainability Solutions, etc.) is a plus. Proficiency in English and Italian; knowledge of additional languages (French, Spanish, German) is advantageous.
