Job Description
OW, a controlled 50/50 joint venture between EDP and Engie, is looking for a problem-solving and communicative IT Infrastructure Engineer. General Description We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Architect to manage the infrastructure architecture and coordinate daily interactions with infrastructure support providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and a problem-solving mindset. This role requires a professional level of English and expertise in Azure or AWS , as well as knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and oversee the infrastructure architecture to ensure scalability, security, and high availability. Manage and maintain daily communication with infrastructure support providers , ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues. Define and enforce best practices for cloud infrastructure , focusing on performance, cost optimization, and automation. Implement and maintain SRE principles , improving system reliability through monitoring, automation, and incident response strategies. Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization. Document architecture decisions, processes, and guidelines to facilitate knowledge sharing. Requirements: Proven experience in a Systems Architect or similar role. Professional-level English (spoken and written). Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) , including best practices for deployment, security, and cost management. Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, monitoring tools, and automation frameworks. Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native infrastructure . Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Excellent organizational and communication skills , with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders. Other Requirements: Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep. Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident and problem management. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash . Certifications in Azure, AWS, or SRE-related fields are a plus. Languages Proficient in English is a must. Profesional Experience Up to 3-5 years of experience.
