We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) to lead the Supporting Healthier Pregnancies Initiative, driving meaningful improvements in maternity care and supporting the health and wellbeing of women and families across the region. This is a permanent full-time opportunity to use your advanced midwifery expertise in a leadership role that makes a lasting impact. Permanent Full-Time $132,562 – $143,924 p.a. super rural incentives About the role The Clinical Midwife Consultant will lead the implementation and integration of strategies under the Supporting Healthier Pregnancies Initiative, facilitating systemic improvements in maternal health services. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe, evidence-based care. This is a strategic and hands-on role where your leadership, advocacy and clinical skills will support both care delivery and long-term service development. Why work with us? Base salary from $132,562 – $143,924 p.a. Isolation bonuses: $3,500 (year 1), $10,500 (year 2), $7,000 (ongoing) 5 weeks annual leave 17.5% leave loading 2 return airfares per year for you and your dependents 12.75% superannuation salary packaging options Staff accommodation (if eligible) or rental subsidy of $82.50/week Support for professional development, including 2 weeks’ study leave and funded conference participation What we’re looking for Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration Relevant tertiary qualification in midwifery (postgraduate qualifications highly desirable) Demonstrated leadership experience in midwifery practice or service improvement Strong knowledge of maternity care standards and public health principles Willingness to travel across the region as required C Class Driver’s Licence This is a VPD risk role and evidence of immunisation may be required. Pre-employment screening and a probation period will apply.
