Surveillance Technician

Install, configure, and commission CCTV surveillance systems (IP-based and hybrid). Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on surveillance and access control equipment. Diagnose and resolve technical faults on CCTV, NVRs, servers, and networking components. Run cable routes, terminate network cables (Cat5e/Cat6), and integrate with existing infrastructure. Conduct system testing, field-of-view verification, and analytics configuration (intrusion detection, line crossing, LPR, etc.). Complete job cards, service reports, and client documentation accurately and on time. Provide client training and system handovers. Adhere to company policies, health and safety guidelines, and quality standards. Matric Certificate (Grade 12) Relevant Technical Certification (e.g., CCTV Installation, Networking, Electronics) Minimum 3 years experience in surveillance installations and maintenance IP cameras and NVRs (Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, etc.) Surveillance software platforms (iVMS, SmartPSS, DSS, etc.) Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, PoE, switches) Valid South African Drivers License (Code B or higher) Physically fit and able to work at heights and on ladders Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills Excellent communication and client-facing skills
