⚡ Electrical Design Engineer – Automation Systems Reynosa, Mexico | Full-Time | On-site | Bilingual (English/Spanish) Join Schneider Electric and help us design the future of smart manufacturing. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop advanced automation equipment and processes for our high-volume, low-mix production facilities across North America. What You’ll Do As part of our Industrialization team, you will: Collaborate with Mechanical Design Engineers to develop complex automated equipment and smart manufacturing solutions. Design electrical and communication systems for high-speed, high-volume production lines. Apply your expertise in robotics, vision systems, servo drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics to create efficient, reliable automation systems. Generate detailed electrical engineering drawings and documentation for new equipment. Perform electrical calculations to properly size components and ensure system safety and efficiency. Simulate and test electrical systems virtually before procurement and installation. Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and user manuals. Review supplier documentation to ensure compliance with design standards and compatibility. Support sourcing teams in selecting components aligned with design requirements. Oversee on-site installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring performance targets are met (safety, quality, throughput). Provide post-installation technical support to manufacturing sites and internal teams (up to 30% travel). What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related field) 5 years of experience designing electrical systems for automated machinery in high-volume manufacturing Proficiency in ECAD tools and electrical design standards Strong understanding of industrial automation technologies and applicable electrical codes Experience with electrical simulations and system optimization Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish Why Schneider Electric?
