The Problem Solving Engineer is responsible for leading structured problem-solving initiatives to address complex manufacturing and quality issues. This role applies advanced root cause analysis methodologies and project management skills to drive sustainable solutions in alignment with BCS quality and customer standards. Your role: Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts using Red X methodology to resolve chronic and complex technical issues. Serve as a technical mentor and coach in structured problem-solving techniques across the organization. Facilitate root cause analysis workshops and ensure proper documentation of findings and solutions. Coordinate corrective action plans and monitor implementation to prevent recurrence. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to provide updates on investigations and resolution status. Manage problem-solving projects from issue identification to final resolution, ensuring timely closure and measurable results. Support continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards. What do you need? Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Red X Certification (Journeyman or Master level) required . At least 5 years of experience in a similar problem-solving or quality engineering role, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. Bilingual: Spanish and conversational English communication skills required . Deep understanding of root cause analysis methodologies, statistical tools, and corrective action processes. Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other relevant automotive quality standards. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities.
