Server Analyst

The Server Analyst will support the stability, performance, and security of our on-premises and then cloud server infrastructure. This role focuses on operational execution, incident resolution, and process adherence under the guidance of the manager. The selected professional will work with technologies like Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, backups, and cloud migration, ensuring alignment with IT standards and best practices. 1. Server Infrastructure Operations Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers (physical/virtual). Assist in managing virtualization environments (VMware, ESXi) and backup systems (Dell Avamar, BackupExec). Apply security patches, hardening, and performance tuning, under supervision. Support Cloud migration initiatives (Azure/AWS) and hybrid infrastructure tasks. Document and update CMDB/inventory records for servers. 2. Incident, Change and Problem Management, Projects and Audits activities Resolve server-related incidents and escalate complex issues to next level. Participate in root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Participate on planning and execution of activities in the context of Changes and Projects, as well as collaborating in audits. 3. Process Adherence & Collaboration Follow defined policies for capacity management, backups, disaster recovery, incidents, changes, hardening, patching among others. Collaborate with teams on projects/audits (e.g., cloud transitions, security compliance). 4. Continuous Improvement Identify and report opportunities to reduce technical debt, optimize processes and avoidance of waste . Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Automating Vulnerability Management and Security Hardening 5. Experience 2-5 years in server administration (Windows/Linux). Hands-on with virtualization (VMware) and backup solutions. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and operational execution. Ability to follow processes and document work. 6. Technical Knowledge / Certifications - OS: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS). - Virtualization: VMware (vCenter, vRealize), Dell ESXi. - Backups: Dell Avamar, BackupExec. - Cloud: Azure (AWS a plus). - Security: CyberArk/Duo MFA, Nessus. - Other: SQL Server, ManageEngine, Dell Compellent. - Basic scripting (PowerShell/Bash) for automation is desirable. Certifications: Microsoft/Vmware/Cloud certs are a plus (not required). 7. Position profile - Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
