Legal Entity Controller - International production - Tessenderlo

Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for international accounting and internal controls? On behalf of a leading global company, we are exclusively recruiting for a Legal Entity Controller to join a dynamic European finance team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (under both US GAAP and local GAAP), drive internal control and compliance, support statutory filings, and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external auditors. Based in Tessenderlo, you'll work closely with shared service centers and provide support to various legal entities across Europe. You'll be part of a team of experts and report directly to the Accounting Leader for holdings and tolling operations. Full onboarding and in-house training will be provided. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for multiple European entities Oversee journal entries, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, and financial reports Support VAT, CIT, and Intrastat filings, and prepare statutory financial statements Coordinate external audits and act as point of contact for auditors and tax advisors Handle treasury accounting: intercompany reconciliations, IHC accounts, and related postings Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX) and reconciliation procedures Collaborate closely with FP&A, HR, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Services to ensure an efficient closing process Actively contribute to process improvements and finance projects across entities Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Bachelor or Master) 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment Solid knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP is essential Experience with SOX, treasury, and SAP is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken) A challenging and impactful role in a globally recognized organization Hybrid working model and flexible hours Competitive salary and excellent benefits package A strong learning environment with plenty of career development opportunities Collaborative team culture and space for your ideas Balance Sheet, Onboarding, US GAAP, Intrastat, Tax, Filing, In-House Training, Intercompany, SOX, Practicality, Trial Balance, Treasury, Communication, Financial reporting, Finance, SAP, Financial reporting, Income statement, Accounting, Coordination, Accounting, Organization Skills, Internal control, Internal control, Proactivity, Production, External Audit, Operations, GAAP, Finance Project, Journal Entries, Shared Services, Annual accounts, Process Development, FP&A Accounting
