Job Description

Overview Dental Practice Manager Winick Endodontics Location: Canton, OH Working Schedule: Full Time The Practice Manager is responsible for strategic and daily operations of multiple locations of a practice, while balancing the daily goals of the practice(s) with the larger strategic vision of the practice and Specialized Dental Partners to drive results in all areas of practice performance. This position is responsible for all practice areas including: revenue cycle, billing, patient experience, human resources, budgeting, financial analysis, clinical workflows, and recruitment. The Practice Manager works in collaboration with Doctors and clinical leadership to ensure high-quality clinical operations. Facilitates an environment that promotes high patient care standards and implements strategies to ensure high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Ensures practice workflows begin and end with consistent and exceptional quality care for the patient. Achieves system goals by maintaining workflows that support, measure and achieve key clinical outcomes and KPIs. Maintains an improvement mindset for the practice and aligns the practice and provider goals with those of Specialized Dental Partners. Designs operational plans for practice. Monitors workflow for continuous improvement opportunities. Drives and owns the financial budget and outcome for the practice(s). Reviews monthly financial statements to ensure revenue and expenses are accurate. Reports and resolves any discrepancies with Specialized Dental Partners. Prepares and reviews financial data and statistical reports with Doctors monthly. Compares practice operating expenses goals. Analyzes expenses that exceed goals and recommends and implements cost reduction strategies. Analyzes financial and statistical reports to propose strategies which strengthen the financial well-being of the practice. Develops annual budgets using knowledge of costs, supplies and labor. Monitors and manages revenue cycle to ensure maximum reimbursement for the practice. Ensures Job Description that demographics and charges are posted timely and accurately. Ensures coding changes are identified and implemented. Works closely with Leadership Team, Specialized Dental Partners and other stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive performance; implements operational plan. Works closely with Leadership Team and Specialized Dental Partners to develop and execute annual Strategic Plan that encompasses all areas of the business. Works closely with lead Doctor(s) to prepare, coordinate, record minutes, and co-facilitate monthly practice review meetings with Doctors and teammates. Implements policies, procedures and objectives for the practice which align with the Specialized Dental Partner’s policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison between Specialized Dental Partners and Practice(s) to communicate and coordinate with various departments to resolve operational challenges and improve quality of patient care. Participates in designing staffing models which best optimizes Practice workflow. Hires, develops and trains staff, including all aspects of Talent Management; evaluation, counseling and termination Provides information to Doctors and other providers, community groups, and referral agencies about practice programs and new providers, in collaboration with the marketing team. Identifies areas where the practice can better support the growing needs of the community and lead initiatives to close gaps. Assists Leadership Team with provider recruitment. Partners with Leadership Team, including Doctors, and Specialized Dental Partners with development, practice growth, and strategic planning/implementation. Onboards new providers. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Requirements: 5 years previous healthcare management experience in a high paced setting. 5 years of leading large teams in dynamic, fast paced environment. 5 years of Operations Management Experience Leading Clinical, Administrative And Operational Teams Required. Preferred Skills: Financial experience, budgeting, work with spreadsheets, Practice Management reporting systems and software, Excel and similar database reporting is a plus. A deep knowledge of all practice disciplines is required, including: revenue cycle, billing, patient experience, human resources, budgeting, financial analysis, clinical workflows, and recruitment. Able to relate to, interact with and understand personality types and different kinds of people. Proven experience working in a Leadership position in a clinical or medical setting Strong understanding of healthcare administration and management Familiar with administrative software for healthcare systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent customer service with a Patient focus Able to travel to meetings and to attend conferences as necessary Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time Specialized Dental Partners, its affiliates, related companies and independently owned supported clinical practices are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers. The starting salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 annually based on full-time employment.
