Job Description Job Description Position Summary: This position is primarily responsible for performing a variety of general accounting activities with a focus on accurate financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end close support. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. 3 Days per week in St. Paul, MN Headquarters Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate. Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare depreciation schedules. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data, account balances, or reporting discrepancies. Participate in financial audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as requested. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing best practices in accounting operations. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and timely flow of information. Support the leadership with special projects and financial analysis as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA. Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required. Maintains compliance with ActivStyle’s Compliance Program. Perform other related duties as assigned. Competency, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication Excellent customer service skills Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent interpersonal & problem-solving skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Decision Making Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Minimum two (2) years of experience in general accounting or related field Physical Demands and Work Environment: 3 Days per week in St. Paul, MN Headquarters Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand and sit for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers due to extensive computer use. Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing Ability to utilize a personal computer and other office equipment Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed. May be exposed to angry or irate customer This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vison, 401k, PTO, Sick & Safe time for applicable states, Holiday pay. Compensation range for this role is $70,000-$80,000.
