Job Description Job Description SUMMARY Seeking a Plant Senior Accountant for a global manufacturing company near Detroit, MI. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in a manufacturing context, to effectively manage the financial operations of the plant and support the overall financial health of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation of monthly financial statements and forecasts for the plant. Audit, reconcile and prepare schedules of general ledger and inventory activity. Formulate and compile data for preparation of budget or other accounting projects. Supervise A/P, A/R, and payroll activities daily. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports (year and audit) and audit binder preparation. Manage SRP package, operations memo, capital appropriations, exchange fluctuations, accounts receivable and standard cost information. Conduct account reconciliations and fixed asset maintenance. Assist in the development and implementation of the Company's policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. 5 years of practical accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Experienced in ABC costing system and ADP payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting. Strong computer skills (PC, AS 400). Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
