Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Trial Attorney to become a part of our dynamic team! You will represent clients in a variety of personal injury matters Responsibilities: Represent clients in court or before government agencies Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients Review drafts of demands and Discovery prepared by paralegals Respond to client inquiries Negotiate settlements for legal disputes Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law ​​ Qualifications: Licensed in Illinois At least 5 First Chair Jury Trials to verdict in the past five (5) years Access to an automobile to cover collar county cases Familiarity with Case Management Software. (We use FileVine) Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to build rapport with clients Excellent written and verbal communication skills Incentive Plan: We offer an Incentive Plan and encourage our Associates to bring in their own business to the law firm. We also offer a 401(k) Plan with matching after one year of service Company Description The law firm consists of 6 dedicated and ethical team player lawyers and a supporting professional staff of 6. The firm represents its clients in their serious bodily injury claims, including Trucking, other Motor Vehicle, and Premises Liability claims. The law firm also handles statutory claims including Wrongful Death Act Claims, Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect cases and Workers Compensation Act claims. Mark L. Karno, the founding partner is and has been listed as a Super Lawyer by the Publishers of Law and Politics and Chicago Magazine since 2009. This distinction is only given to lawyers ranked in the top five percent (5%) of their field of practice. He has also achieved an AVVO rating of 10/10; has been Peer rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, which is their highest rating; is a member of the Multi Million Dollar Advocates Forum; and The American Society of Legal Advocates, a distinction achieved by less than 1.5% of all licensed lawyers nationwide.
