Business Planner Europe (Retail Industry)

The Business Planner plays a key role in driving sales and profitability across multiple product categories. This position leads financial planning, inventory strategy, and allocation decisions in close partnership with buying teams and merchandise leadership. With a focus on demand forecasting, data analysis, and store-level execution, the role helps ensure optimal stock levels, assortment alignment, and margin performance across the retail network. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage sales, margin, and inventory plans by category and store Collaborate with buyers on assortment strategy and purchasing plans Lead allocation and replenishment processes based on store demand and size profiles Analyze performance trends, customer behavior, and wage factors to guide decisions Monitor inventory flow and support new store launches Provide insights for strategic planning and process improvements Partner with cross-functional teams in Product, Finance, and Store Operations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred 5–10 years in merchandise planning, demand forecasting, or buying Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with planning and allocation tools Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration Retail math and inventory management proficiency required Team-oriented, organized, and results-driven Planning & Decision-Making and Data-Driven Problem Solving Business Acumen & Retail Insight Team Collaboration & Communication Leadership & Process Ownership
