Plant Manager

Position Summary Manages a service E-Beam processing facility as a profit center. Responsible for all phases of plant operation, including supporting sales, production, distribution, and customer service. Duties include adherence to regulatory agencies, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards, and Quality System policies and procedures. Ensures positive employee relations and a safe working environment, as well as monitoring the financial performance of the processing facility. Duties Establishes an organizational structure by assigning responsibilities, delegating authority, and selecting, orienting, and training direct reports. Leads facility organizational staff by coaching, counseling, motivating, and disciplining as needed; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; directs activities to achieve high employee morale; fosters intra- and inter-department cooperation. Achieves financial objectives by preparing operating budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, studying costs, and initiating corrective actions; requests assistance from internal financial support as needed. Ensures a safe, clean, and secure working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations; monitors safety and security systems; chairs plant safety meetings. Meets processing requirements by managing production staff effectively; monitors preventive maintenance measures to minimize equipment downtime. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements; maintains internal compliance programs; oversees plant tours for external regulators. Minimizes and resolves internal complaints and grievances with assistance from the Director of Operations and Human Resources. Maintains professional skills through educational workshops. Provides employee protection by promoting safety and issuing monitoring devices as required. Operational Responsibilities Directs and manages current and new business activities to meet customer requirements and maximize profit; leads facility tours and audits. Coordinates plant operations with various departments to meet customer standards. Monitors implementation of plans through report analysis for management review. Resolves external customer complaints by liaising with staff and investigating issues. Participates in community activities to promote the company's reputation. Seeks continuous improvement by analyzing operations and incorporating staff suggestions. Supports team efforts and adheres to company conduct policies. Ensures the integrity of financial reporting and transactional procedures. Communicates professionally and courteously, providing timely responses and assistance.
